Barcelona have reportedly won the race to sign Georginio Wijnaldum, with the midfielder verbally agreeing a three-year contract at Camp Nou.
The 30-year-old will officially leave Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of June, and a number of clubs, including Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, have been strongly linked with his services.
Bayern had seemingly emerged as the favourites for the Netherlands international, who scored three times in 51 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side during the 2020-21 campaign.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barca have won the race for the midfielder, who has reached an agreement on a contract until June 2024.
Romano claims that official confirmation could arrive 'in the next few days' as the two parties are still ironing out the details when it comes to the Dutchman's salary.
Wijnaldum scored 22 times and registered 16 assists in 237 outings for Liverpool.
