Georginio Wijnaldum has reportedly held 'positive contract talks' with Bayern Munich.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the Netherlands international will leave Anfield when his contract expires at the end of June, meaning that Sunday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace was the midfielder's final match for the Merseyside giants.
Barcelona had been strongly linked with the Dutchman last summer and again earlier this year, but the Catalan club's interest appears to have cooled.
Paris Saint-Germain were thought to now be at the head of the queue for the 30-year-old, who played in all 38 of Liverpool's Premier League matches in 2020-21.
However, according to Sport1, positive discussions have now been held with Bayern, and Wijnaldum is keen to join the German champions ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
The Dutchman will leave Anfield having won the Premier League, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup during a five-year spell.
