Martin Skrtel wanted by Wolfsburg?

Wolfsburg are interested in signing Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel, according to a report.

Wolfsburg are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

The 30-year-old is in his eighth season at Liverpool, having joined the club from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2008.

His contract is due to expire next summer, but according to The Mirror, discussions over a new deal are currently on hold.

It is believed that Wolfsburg are winning the race for his signature, while Liverpool would prefer to sell him rather than lose him on a free next year.

Skrtel has also been linked with a switch to Serie A outfit Napoli.
