Hoffenheim boss Markus Babbel has revealed that Gylfi Sigurdsson is close to completing a move to a Premier League club.
The Icelandic international is believed to have attracted the attention of numerous teams during a six-month loan spell with Swansea City last season.
While the Swans are not considered to be in contention for the 22-year-old's signature, both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are said to be among the favourites to secure his services.
"Gylfi Sigurdsson is nearing agreement with a Premier League club," Babbel told the club's official website. "It's all about the final details. I am assuming that the transfer will be completed by the end of the week."
Hoffenheim have reportedly valued Sigurdsson at £10m.
