Liverpool are reportedly lining up a move for Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto this summer.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers dropped Simon Mignolet back in December, after the Belgian's performances suffered a dip, but the former Sunderland man has improved his form since the turn of the year.
Mignolet has played his part in a team that has taken 23 points from a possible 27 this calendar year, and the Anfield side are up to fifth in the Premier League table.
Despite Mignolet's upturn in fortunes, Rodgers is still keen to increase competition for places, and will give the green light for a pursuit for Viola goalkeeper Neto this summer, according to The Express.
However, the Reds apparently face competition from Juventus for the Brazilian's signature.
