Report: Liverpool in talks to end Divock Origi loan

Liverpool and Lille are in encouraging talks over ending Divock Origi's loan spell at the French club in January, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of an agreement with Lille to terminate Divock Origi's loan spell at the French club.

The 19-year-old joined the Reds from the Ligue 1 outfit in the summer, before immediately being sent back on a season-long deal.

It is believed that Brendan Rodgers wants to bring the Belgian back six months early, due to the poor form of strikers Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert and injury to Daniel Sturridge.

There is no agreement in place yet with Lille over Origi's January return to Anfield, but The Mirror reports that initial talks between the two clubs have been encouraging.

Origi, who cost Liverpool £10m, has scored four goals for Lille this season.
