Report: Atletico Madrid want Mohamed Salah

A report claims that Atletico Madrid want to sign Basel attacker Mohamed Salah.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly preparing a bid for Basel's highly-rated attacker Mohamed Salah.

The 21-year-old, who scored twice against Chelsea in the group stages of the Champions League this season, is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in European football.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with his services since the January window opened, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Atletico also hold a firm interest in the Egyptian international.

Salah has scored 10 times in 29 appearances for Basel this season, while he has also netted 17 goals in 27 appearances for his country.
