Rumoured Liverpool and Bayern Munich target Timo Werner will not be sold at the end of the season, according to RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick.

RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick has insisted that it will be "impossible" for Timo Werner to join Liverpool or Bayern Munich in the summer.

The 22-year-old has been closely monitored by both clubs this season, while Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid have previously been linked.

A report in the German press earlier this week indicated that personal terms have already been agreed between the striker and Bayern, but discussions with Leipzig have yet to get underway.

Rangnick is adamant that Werner will not be going anywhere, however, telling reporters: "A possible agreement is impossible for 2019 [right now]. We would have to agree, and we are not. Nobody has approached us from Bayern."

Werner is rumoured to have been offered a double-your-money contract to stay on at the Red Bull Arena, with his current deal due to expire at the end of next season.
