Real Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly tells Sergio Ramos that he will not be allowed to move to a Chinese club on a free transfer.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has reportedly been told that he cannot join a Chinese club on a free transfer.

Ramos has spent the last 14 seasons at the Bernabeu, but it has been widely claimed that the Spaniard is keen to join a new team this summer.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 33-year-old, although it appears that a lucrative switch to the Chinese Super League is Ramos's preferred option.

However, according to AS, president Florentino Perez has told Ramos that he will not be allowed to walk away from the club for nothing.

Perez is allegedly against Real 'gifting' their captain to another team, leaving any interested side needing to pay a fee in order to secure his signature.

Ramos currently has two years remaining on his contract.
