Bayern Munich will not sign James Rodriguez on a permanent deal in order to make a quick profit, according to chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has ruled out the possibility of James Rodriguez being signed in order to make a quick profit.

Rodriguez has just completed his two-year loan spell at the Allianz Arena, and Bayern have the option to secure the permanent signing of the Colombia international.

However, Rodriguez has endured a mixed spell in Germany, leading to Rummenigge to effectively rule out the full-time acquisition of the Real Madrid attacker in order to sell him elsewhere.

Rummenigge told AS: "That's not the style of Bayern. We don't want to do human trafficking, to push something elsewhere to make some money. FC Bayern has never been that way.

"We will surely come together next week and we will decide what to do. We must put all options on the table and decide how to handle all those things that aren't certain yet."

Rodriguez has been linked with a summer switch to the Premier League, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal said to be interested in the playmaker.
