Adam Lallana will reportedly not be allowed to leave Liverpool on loan this month despite his lack of football this season.

Adam Lallana will reportedly not be allowed to leave Liverpool on loan this month.

The England international has only made six Premier League appearances for the Reds this season, having struggled with a number of fitness problems.

Southampton and Fenerbahce have both been linked with loan bids for the 30-year-old amid suggestions that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would be prepared to part with the midfielder this month.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Klopp is determined to keep hold of the player, who he feels will play a key role for the club in the second half of the 2018-19 campaign.

Lallana only made 13 appearances for the Reds last term due to injury and was ultimately left out of Gareth Southgate's England squad for the 2018 World Cup.
