Liverpool are reportedly open to selling Charlie Adam and Jay Spearing in order to raise £7.5m for Fulham forward Clint Dempsey.

Liverpool are reportedly willing to let midfield pair Charlie Adam and Jay Spearing leave the club this summer in order to raise funds for Fulham forward Clint Dempsey.

The USA international, who refused to play for the Cottagers in their 5-0 win over Norwich City at the weekend, has been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield for some time.

It is understood that the Merseyside outfit are still keen on snapping up the £7.5m-rated forward but will have to sell Adam and Spearing in order to afford him, according to The Mirror.

Reports have claimed that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is open to letting the pair leave the club.
