Liverpool have signed teenage striker Samed Yesil from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 18-year-old passed a medical on Thursday and will join the Premier League club's youth team.

"The first thing is that I have to train and then in one or two years I hope, step by step, to be in the first team," said Yesil on his move to Anfield.

"It is my dream to play for Liverpool and I will give my all."

Yesil, who has scored 22 goals in 26 appearances for Germany at Under-16, 17 and 18 levels, is Liverpool's fifth signing of the summer after Fabio Borini, Joe Allen, Oussama Assaidi and Nuri Sahin.
