Liverpool will reportedly hope to tempt Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele to move to Anfield with a £17m signing-on fee.
The France international continues to run down the final few months of his Barcelona deal, with little progress made over a resolution for fresh terms.
New manager Xavi has outlined his intention to keep Dembele on the books, even though the forward was reportedly fined for turning up to training late earlier this week.
Liverpool have been tipped to move for Dembele amid uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah's future, and El Nacional claims that the Reds are ready to dip into their war chest to bring him to Anfield.
Dembele would arrive on a free assuming he refuses to sign a new deal with Barcelona, but Liverpool are rumoured to be planning a €20m (£17m) signing-on fee should the ex-Borussia Dortmund man make the switch to England.
The 24-year-old has only played 25 minutes of football this season due to injury and has registered 30 goals and 21 assists in 119 games for the Blaugrana.
