Liverpool have reportedly identified Denis Cheryshev as a top transfer target ahead of the summer window.
Cheryshev is currently on loan at Villarreal from Real Madrid, and his fine form in La Liga has seen him linked with a move to the Premier League on a number of occasions this season.
A return to Madrid remains a possibility, but with the attacking talent available to Carlo Ancelotti, the 24-year-old may be forced to look elsewhere for first-team opportunities.
Liverpool are believed to be monitoring the situation, and Tuttomercatoweb claims that they have registered their interest in an £18m deal, but Real are demanding £22m for the Russian.
Cheryshev has scored seven goals in 32 appearances this season.
