Liverpool have expressed an interest in making a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to a report.
The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a summer move away from the Schwarzgelben but a transfer never materialised.
Since the start of the season, Aubameyang has been involved in a number of disciplinary issues at the club, who are now reportedly looking to offload the Gabon international in January.
According to The Express, Liverpool are eager to reunite Aubameyang with Jurgen Klopp, his former manager at Signal Iduna Park, and further bolster the Reds' frontline.
The report also suggests that Chelsea have thrown their name in the hat to recruit the prolific forward in a bid to make up ground on Premier League runaway leaders Manchester City.
Despite Aubameyang's disciplinary problems, the striker has been in impressive form this season, scoring 17 goals in 19 games across all competitions.
