Liverpool's summer transfer budget has reportedly been set at £50m, although additional funds could be provided through player sales.

Liverpool's summer transfer budget has reportedly been set at £50m, although additional funds could be raised for reinforcements by moving players on.

The Reds have already secured a deal for RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate, but the club are thought to be keen to sign a new midfielder and potentially a forward ahead of next season.

Jurgen Klopp's side are also said to be interested in Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho, but according to ESPN, the club's transfer budget is £50m for the remainder of the window.

The Merseyside outfit will attempt to move on a number of unwanted players this summer, though, with Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi among those thought to be available.

The report claims that Mohamed Salah could yet push for a move away, although it seems unlikely that potentially interested clubs will have the funds to sign the Egyptian in the upcoming market.

Liverpool were unable to launch a defence of their Premier League title last season, but the Reds managed to finish third in the table following a strong end to the campaign.
