Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Premier League side Liverpool.
The Kenyan international recently turned down the chance to join Southampton, with speculation claiming that he has set his sights on a switch to Cardiff City.
However, Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to boost his midfield options and believes that the 22-year-old could be the ideal candidate, according to The People.
The report added that Rodgers would need to sell some of his fringe players, such as Jonjo Shelvey and Jay Spearing, to fund the deal.
Scottish champions Celtic have placed a £12m price tag on their player.
