Liverpool head coach Arne Slot reportedly makes a decision on the future of Fabio Carvalho.
Having replaced Jurgen Klopp at the helm, Slot is now tasked with trying to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title.
Although there have been no notable incomings thus far, a number of players have departed Anfield on free transfers, while the futures of several key players remain up in the air.
Resolving issues with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah will naturally take priority, yet Slot must also make judgment calls on several prospects and squad members.
Defender Sepp van den Berg is seemingly attracting interest ahead of a potential exit, yet little has been mentioned about the progression of Carvalho.

Slot takes Carvalho stance
The playmaker spent 2023-24 away from Liverpool, first representing Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig before switching to Championship side Hull City mid-season.
Having contributed nine goals and two assists from 20 league starts for the Tigers, the 21-year-old did his chances of being reintegrated into the Liverpool senior ranks no harm at all.
According to Football Insider, that is the view taken by Slot who is happy for Carvalho to spend pre-season with Liverpool.
While it is stated that Slot is yet to decide whether to keep the Portuguese in his squad in the long term, he is eager to see how he performs over the coming weeks.
Carvalho has already made an appearance in a behind-closed-doors friendly versus Preston North End and will now travel with the rest of the group to the United States.
The first of three games takes place against Real Betis on July 27, before showdowns with Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United at the start of August.

What is Carvalho's previous Liverpool pedigree?
During the 2022-23 campaign, Carvalho was provided with 21 appearances in all competitions, with three goals being scored during that time.
Two of those came during the opening month of the campaign against Bournemouth and Newcastle United, his other in a EFL Cup tie at Manchester City.
However, the former Fulham starlet would barely feature during the second half of the season and accumulated just 640 minutes in total.
