RB Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff has insisted that there is no agreement in place for Naby Keita to join Liverpool this month.
The 22-year-old midfielder will become a member of Jurgen Klopp's squad, but not until the summer after the two parties agreed a reported £55m deal in August.
There have been rumblings that the Reds will try to bring Keita to Merseyside early if Philippe Coutinho ends up moving to Barcelona, but Leipzig have ruled it out.
"Neither Naby nor his agent have made the request to leave the club in the winter," Mintzlaff told Bild. "There are contracts, and they say that he will be a Liverpool employee from July 1 onwards."
Keita has made 20 appearances in all competitions and has scored five goals for the German club this season.
