Adam Lallana is said to have completed his reported £25m move from Southampton to Liverpool this morning.
The 26-year-old, who returned from Brazil earlier this week following England's failed World Cup campaign, has been targeted by the Merseyside outfit for some time.
While reports had claimed that the Saints were holding out for a £30m offer, Lallana's switch to Merseyside appeared to be on the cards when news emerged that the midfielder was having a medical in Liverpool on Friday.
A source has told Sports Mole that Lallana concluded the finishing touches to his deal this morning and has agreed to wear the number 20 shirt, with an announcement expected tomorrow.
Should the deal go through, Lallana will become Liverpool's third signing of the summer so far following the acquisitions of Emre Can and former Southampton striker Rickie Lambert.
