Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has claimed that Liverpool refused to send midfielder Jonjo Shelvey back to the Tangerines because he 'talked up the move.'
Shelvey, 20, scored six goals for the Seasiders earlier in the season before returning to Anfield, with Holloway keen to bring the former Charlton Athletic back to the club.
"The reason we haven't got him is because we were talking about him for months and he was somebody else's player," Holloway told The Mirror.
Blackpool are seventh in the Championship table.
