Liverpool and Bayern Munich reportedly face fresh competition from Borussia Dortmund to land the signature of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
The Reds are believed to have moved ahead of a number of English clubs to the front of the queue to sign the 22-year-old, who has 11 goals in 17 Bundesliga outings this term.
Werner appears to be on his way out of Leipzig after stalling on signing a new contract, somewhat forcing the Red Bull-backed club's hand, and there is no shortage of suitors for the 22-year-old.
Liverpool and Bayern are considered the favourites to sign Werner, but German outlet Bild claims that Dortmund have also entered the race for a player about to enter the final season of his contract.
Twenty-three cap Germany international Werner is apparently having second thoughts about switching to Bayern as he does not want to be back-up to Robert Lewandowski, leading to Dortmund making their interest known.
