Daniel Sturridge to remain at Liverpool?

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly decides to keep striker Daniel Sturridge at Anfield for the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly made the decision to keep Daniel Sturridge at Anfield for the next 12 months.

After another injury-hit campaign, it had been expected that the Merseyside giants would part ways with the England international, but it appears that Klopp has now changed his stance on the player.

According to The Mirror, Klopp feels that it does not make financial sense to sell Sturridge in order to sign a replacement who will cost more money.

Sturridge was limited to just 11 starts in all competitions last season, but that was partly down to Liverpool not competing in Europe, something which will change in August.

The 27-year-old impressed during the closing weeks of the most recent campaign, with the player coming through unscathed from two starts as Liverpool recorded victories over both West Ham United and Middlesbrough to claim fourth place in the standings.
