Daniel Agger says that he wants to stay at Liverpool amid rumoured interest from Barcelona.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has insisted that he intends to remain at Anfield for the next three years, despite talk of interest from Barcelona.

The 28-year-old joined the Reds in 2006 and has endured a mixed tenure at the club due to injury problems, although the Dane has enjoyed more successful times as of late.

Agger, whose form has resulted in him being linked with a move away from Merseyside, is adamant that he wants to stay at the club.

"I still have three years left and I intend to fulfil them," said Agger. "There are always rumours, but who is creating them? I don't know.

"It is not a bad thing to be linked with top clubs but you have to take 70% of the speculation off and then you have the reality."

Liverpool travel to Fulham on Sunday.
