Liverpool's Mohamed Salah vows to "fight like champions" until end of season

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah insists that his side will continue to "fight like champions" despite Jurgen Klopp suggesting that his side's title defence is over.

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has promised that his side will "fight like champions" until the 2020-21 season reaches its conclusion.

The Premier League champions fell further off the pace in the race for glory following a calamitous 3-1 defeat at Leicester City on Saturday, with Jurgen Klopp claiming that his team's title defence is over.

The Merseysiders are now 13 points adrift of a seemingly unstoppable Manchester City team, but Salah has insisted that his side's season will not be defined by their recent rough patch.

The Egypt international took to Twitter to say: "It's been a tough period for many reasons. We are champions and we will fight like champions, until the very end.

"We will not allow this season to be defined by the recent results we've had. That is my promise to all of you."

Salah has been one of Liverpool's standout performers with 17 goals and three assists in 23 Premier League appearances, but his future remains shrouded in uncertainty amid links with Real Madrid and Barcelona.
