Jurgen Klopp names an unchanged Liverpool side as Sunderland visit Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has named an unchanged Liverpool side as Sunderland visit Anfield this afternoon.

Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino continue to provide the attacking threat as the Reds look to get back to winning ways after being held to a goalless draw by Southampton last time out.

Adam Lallana is still absent from the matchday squad following his groin injury during the international break, while Daniel Sturridge is ruled out with a calf problem.

Nathaniel Clyne, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and James Milner retain their places in the back four, with captain Jordan Henderson, Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum patrolling the middle of the park.

For the visiting Black Cats, David Moyes is forced into two changes from the XI that made it back-to-back wins with a convincing victory over Hull City last weekend.

Steven Pienaar earns a recall to the starting lineup as replacement for Paddy McNair, who was ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury against the Tigers.

John O'Shea is also back in the defence, with Papy Djilobodji suspended for seeing red last time out.

Jermain Defoe continues to operate in a lone striker role up front, with support from Duncan Watmore, Didier Ndong and Victor Anichebe.

Liverpool: Karius; Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner; Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum; Mane, Coutinho, Firmino
Subs: Mignolet, Klavan, Moreno, Lucas, Ejaria, Origi, Woodburn

Sunderland: Pickford; Jones, Kone, O'Shea, van Aanholt; Pienaar, Denayer; Watmore, Ndong, Anichebe; Defoe
Subs: Mannone, Love, Januzaj, Manquillo, Khazri, Gooch, Larsson
