New signings Joe Allen and Fabio Borini are named in the Liverpool starting XI for their visit to West Bromwich Albion.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has handed League debuts to new signings Joe Allen and Fabio Borini for this afternoon's trip to West Bromwich Albion.

Borini's inclusion in the Reds' starting XI casts further doubts over the long-term future of Andy Carroll, who is among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku, who joined the Baggies on a season-long loan from Chelsea earlier this month, starts on the bench for the hosts.

West Brom: Foster; Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Mulumbu, Yacob; Morrison; Gera, Long, Odemwingie. Subs: Myhill; Jara-Reyes, Dawson, Lukaku, El Ghanassy, Brunt, Fortune

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Allen, Gerrard, Downing, Borini, Suarez. Subs: Jones; Adam, Henderson, Shelvey, Carroll, Carragher, Cole
