Preview: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Liverpool

All eyes will be on Molineux tomorrow evening to see if Andy Carroll starts for Liverpool following stories linking him with Manchester City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy has revealed that Liverpool wanted this game to be played on Wednesday to avoid a clash with the transfer deadline.

However, McCarthy refused and will be looking for his side to capitalise on any uncertainty from Liverpool.

McCarthy will be able to call upon on-loan midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, who has recovered from a facial injury. Karl Henry will miss the match though as he begins a three-match ban.

Andy Carroll's participation has been thrown into doubt following reports that Liverpool were willing to swap him with Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

Should Carroll not feature, Craig Bellamy is likely to lead the line for the visitors.

Current form:

Wolves: DDDLDL
Liverpool: DDWLDL

Possible lineups:

Wolves: Hennessey; Foley, Johnson, Berra, Ward; Kightly, Frimpong, Milijas, Hunt; Fletcher, Doyle.

Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique; Downing, Gerrard, Spearing, Adam; Kuyt, Bellamy.
