Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been made to train in isolation at the club's Melwood training ground for a second day.
Suarez reported for training this morning but was quickly told that he would continue to train away from the first-team squad, following his remarks in a newspaper interview earlier this week.
The Uruguayan forward declared that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers made assurances that he would be allowed to leave for a Champions League side this summer, insisting that his career must come first.
Rodgers adamantly denied those claims and branded Suarez's statement "disrespectful", vowing to take disciplinary action against the club's top scorer from last season.
Liverpool owner John W Henry has insisted that Suarez will not be sold before the transfer window closes, despite continued interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
