Jerome Sinclair: 'Future bright for Liverpool'

Teenage striker Jerome Sinclair claims that the 'future is bright' for Liverpool following his Premier League debut against Chelsea.

Liverpool youngster Jerome Sinclair has claimed that the "future is really bright" for the club due to the amount of academy players waiting to break into the first team.

The 18-year-old striker made his Premier League debut for the Reds on Sunday, coming off the bench during their 1-1 draw with champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Sinclair has praised manager Brendan Rodgers for giving him a chance and suggests that more of the club's academy products are ready for their big break.

"We've got an array of young talent at Liverpool. So for me to get the chance to play was really good. I know there's a lot more young players coming through and they're all going to be good enough to play for Liverpool, so the future is really bright," he told the club's official website.

"You can see that with the philosophy that the manager has - if young players are showing that they have talent, then he's willing to put them in and give him a go, which is rare for a big club such as Liverpool. All the young players at Liverpool know that we really do have a chance."

Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they host Crystal Palace at Anfield.
