Luke Shaw pulls out of U21 Euros with back injury

Southampton left-back Luke Shaw pulls out of England's European Under-21 Championship campaign with a back injury.

Southampton left-back Luke Shaw has been forced to pull out of England's European Under-21 Championship campaign.

The Football Association have confirmed that the 17-year-old will play no part in the competition under manager Stuart Pearce due to a back injury.

England have since called up Liverpool full-back Jack Robinson as a replacement for Shaw in this summer's campaign in Israel.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur's Andros Townsend has withdrawn from the squad due to betting allegations.
