Brendan Rodgers has claimed that midfielder Jordan Henderson can still play a "vital" role in helping Liverpool win the Premier League title this season.
The 23-year-old is poised to miss three of the Reds' four remaining games of the campaign through suspension after picking up a red card in the 3-2 win over Manchester City last weekend.
Despite being unavailable, Rodgers says that the England international will still travel with the squad due to his importance away from the pitch.
"Even though we'll lose him on the field we can't lose his personality off the field as well which is why he'll still travel and be a part of what we're doing," Rodgers told reporters.
"I've told him he's a vital member of the group and he might not be able to effect the next three games on the field but he's going to be very important for our changing room, our travelling and our hotels because he's very much a part of us."
Consequently, Henderson will miss Sunday's visit to Norwich City, along with clashes with Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Rodgers's men currently sit two points ahead of the Blues at the summit of the table.
