John Arne Riise is ready to play at Anfield once again.

Fulham defender John Arne Riise has insisted that he is ready for an emotional return to Anfield.

The Norwegian spent seven seasons with Liverpool and made over 300 appearances for the club before moving to Roma in 2008. Riise won the League cup, FA Cup and the Champions League during his time on Merseyside and admits that he is looking forward to being back at the stadium.

"It was one of the first games I was looking for because I always wanted to come back," said Riise.

"Now, I'm going to be playing against them and it's emotional.

"I'm feeling a little bit - not nervous - but it's tickling a little more than usual, so I'm looking forward to it."

Riise signed for Fulham in the summer and has yet to score for the London outfit.
