Claudio Ranieri compares two Liverpool players to Riyad Mahrez

Claudio Ranieri compares two of Liverpool's players - Coutinho and Adam Lallana - to his star Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez ahead of the Boxing Day clash at Anfield.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has compared Liverpool's Coutinho and Adam Lallana to his star winger Riyad Mahrez.

Mahrez has been key to Leicester's surprise ascent to the top of the Premier League, but, speaking ahead of their Boxing Day clash, Ranieri said that Liverpool have two players of comparable talent.

"We have Mahrez, but Liverpool have two of Mahrez in Coutinho and Lallana," the Italian told reporters.

Mahrez has scored 13 goals in 16 Premier League appearances this season. Only teammate Jamie Vardy, with 15, has more in the top flight.

Ranieri also said at his pre-match press conference that Danny Drinkwater would still be missing for Saturday's game at Anfield.
