Danny Mills has hit out at Jurgen Klopp for his 'shocking and disrespectful' reaction to Liverpool's late winner against Everton in Sunday's Merseyside derby.
Klopp celebrated Divock Origi's bizarre 96th-minute winner by charging onto the pitch and hugging goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss later apologised to opposite number Marco Silva for failing to keep his cool at the end of a tense game
Mills believes that Klopp took things too far, though, claiming that his actions could have been an arrestable offence in different circumstances.
"It's absolutely shocking what he does," he told BBC Sport. "Go down the touchline, leave your technical area, celebrate with your staff. I don't have a problem with that at all.
"But to run into the middle of the pitch - if that's a fan, of course [he would get arrested]. I think it's disrespectful to Everton, and he knows it.
"Yes it's a derby, it's a big game, but you cannot run into the middle of the pitch. Last minute or not."
Liverpool moved back to within two points of Premier League leaders Manchester City with their 1-0 win at Anfield.
