Simon Mignolet has called upon Liverpool to respond to their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday by immediately getting back to winning ways with victory over Fulham.
The Belgian goalkeeper was beaten by strikes from Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey, which earned the Gunners three points which saw them move five clear of the Reds at the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool return to action against the Cottagers this weekend, and Mignolet feels that it is important for them to prove that their loss at the Emirates Stadium was just a setback in their productive start to the season.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "Everybody wanted to do well. We were motivated and confident going into the game because it was a good opportunity for us to go top of the table.
"Unfortunately, we came across a good Arsenal side. Arsenal are doing really well at the moment and they are a good side. That doesn't mean we're not disappointed, but the most important thing is that we can't drop our heads after this performance.
"We must look forward and make sure we put things right against Fulham. It's always important to respond after a defeat. I'm sure everybody will be prepared to work hard from Monday onwards for the preparation against Fulham."
Mignolet, 25, arrived at Anfield from Sunderland for £9m in the summer, and has kept four clean sheets in 10 appearances, but none in his last five outings.
