Simon Mignolet has claimed that Liverpool have learned from their past near misses and are now ready to challenge for major honours next season.
The Reds ended the previous campaign without any silverware but managed to finish in the top four of the Premier League for just the second time in eight years.
Liverpool had previously reached the final of the League Cup and Europa League during Jurgen Klopp's first campaign at the helm, falling just short in both, but Mignolet insists that there is now plenty of hunger to go one better.
"Last year, we had the chance to play in two finals, but unfortunately we lost both of them," he told Liverpool FC magazine. "We have learned from that.
"I think everybody – not only the players, but also the fans and everybody connected with Liverpool Football Club – is really hungry for silverware. That's what we have to challenge for next year."
Mignolet ended last season as Liverpool's first-choice keeper, but Klopp is reportedly on the lookout for another option ahead of 2017-18.
