Everton's James McCarthy: 'Bring on Liverpool'

James McCarthy says that Everton are ready to take on Liverpool after claiming their first win of 2015 by beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park.

Everton midfielder James McCarthy is relishing next week's Merseyside derby against Liverpool after watching his side defeat Crystal Palace 1-0 in the Premier League.

The Irishman, who could return from injury against the Reds, took to Twitter to congratulate his teammates following their first win of 2015.

"Great three points from the boys! Tough place to go!! Roll on next week to the derby," he posted.

The Blues saw off Palace courtesy of an early goal from Romelu Lukaku, but remain in 12th place in the table, only three points better off than the Eagles.
