Jurgen Klopp "disappointed" after Newcastle United draw

Jurgen Klopp insists that Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United "does not feel too fair", but admits that his side should have put the game to bed.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confessed to being 'disappointed and frustrated' following his side's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at St James' Park.

The Reds dominated possession and created numerous chances in Sunday's Premier League clash, which they failed to make the most of as they dropped more points.

On the back of a run that has seen his side win just one of their last seven games in all competitions, scoring eight goals in the process, Klopp admitted that the Merseyside outfit can have few complaints due to their profligate nature.

"I am disappointed, frustrated, whatever you want," he told BBC Sport. "Away at Newcastle for each team will be a difficult place to play. We scored a wonderful goal and created wonderful chances.

"We shot the ball over the goal even when it was empty. We created five or six outstanding, big chances. Usually we score with one of them. I didn't see one more chances for Newcastle. They got one chance and scored. That doesn't feel too fair.

"But if you don't help yourself no one else help you. It will be like this until we score. We play like this it makes sense that we play like this usually we score in situations like this. We have to accept this and carry on."

Liverpool are seventh in the Premier League table heading into the international break, with the visit of Manchester United up next on October 14.
