Harry Kewell admits that he would "love" to manage Liverpool

Harry Kewell reveals that he would "love" to take over as Liverpool manager one day in the future.

Former Liverpool winger Harry Kewell has revealed that he would "love" to manage the Merseyside club in the future.

The 36-year-old, who retired from professional football last year, is currently completing his coaching badges and hasn't ruled out taking up a managerial role in Australia's A-League.

One day though, Kewell, who spent five years playing for Liverpool, has the desire to take the helm at Anfield.

"If there's a possibility of getting an A-League job, I don't know," Kewell told Fox Sports. "For me, I reach for the heights - I'd love to manage a Premier League team.

"[I would] love to [coach Liverpool]. I'm sure every player [and] every manager out there would love to manage probably the biggest club in the world."

Current Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has had his future on Merseyside questioned following a disappointing season, but the latest reports suggest that the Northern Irishman's job is safe for the time being.
