Los Angeles Galaxy striker Robbie Keane believes that Steven Gerrard will be a "huge help" to the team when he joins MLS in the summer.
The Liverpool captain will end his 25-year association with the Merseyside club at the end of the season to move to the United States.
Keane played against Gerrard on numerous occasions during his time in the Premier League, and the pair played together for a short stint in 2008.
"He's one of [the best midfielders I've played with] - he and Roy Keane, I would say, definitely would be up there," Keane told reporters.
"His ability to make players around him even better [will be] a big thing when he comes. Players will see how good he is and how simple he makes things. He's certainly going to be a huge help to this team."
Gerrard revealed that he opted not to sign a new deal at Anfield due to the lack of first-team football that was being offered to him.
