Jon Flanagan has admitted that it would be a "dream come true" for him to make his England debut before the World Cup.
The Liverpool full-back, who is on the Three Lions' stand-by list for the tournament in Brazil, is currently with the squad in Miami for their friendlies against Ecuador and Honduras.
England play Ecuador at the Sun Life Stadium tonight before Saturday's encounter with the Hondurans at the same venue.
"There are another two games before we go home so if I get the chance to make my debut it will be a dream come true," the 21-year-old told Liverpool's official website.
"As we've seen, young players are getting their chance and those who have come in have taken it with both hands. If I get a chance then hopefully I can take it."
Flanagan scored one goal in 23 games for Liverpool last season as the Merseysiders narrowly missed out on their first league title for 24 years.
