Everton reveal that they will pay tribute to the people that died during the Hillsborough disaster prior to tonight's match against Newcastle United.

Everton have confirmed that they will pay tribute to the 96 Liverpool supporters who lost their lives during the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.

The tragedy was back in the spotlight last week following revelations that the police had doctored statements in order to pin the blame on the supporters that were in attendance that afternoon.

With that in mind, mascots wearing both Everton and Liverpool strips will lead the Toffees out against Newcastle United at Goodison Park this evening.

Ballboys will also have the number 96 on the back of their kits.
