Kenny Dalglish says that Luis Suarez won't let his FA charge over alleged racist abuse affect his game.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has said that Luis Suarez is strong enough to pull through an FA charge accusing him of racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

The Uruguay international has denied allegations of racial abuse and he is expected to contest the charge.

Dalglish said that the prospect of an FA hearing will have no bearing on the 24-year-old's performance on the pitch.

"I don't think his form will suffer for any reason other than, like everyone else, sometimes you don't play as well as you can," Dalglish said.

"The standard he has set himself is very high and very difficult to achieve week in, week out. But even when he is not playing well, he is a lot better than most people.

"We have to move on now, take it as it comes and see what happens. We have to get on with whatever hand we are dealt and not feel sorry for ourselves. If adversity stirs someone up then fine. But there is no doubt any player at this club who finds himself in a bit of a bad time is going to be well looked after. That is a given for the club."

If found guilty, Suarez could face a six-game ban and an unlimited fine.
