Newcastle United striker Demba Ba could reportedly miss Sunday's trip to Liverpool with a shin injury.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has admitted that top scorer Demba Ba is struggling with a shin injury ahead of their clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury in his side's 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion, but he could now miss the weekend trip to Anfield.

"Demba appears to have a bit of a nerve problem. It is not a major concern and I don't think it is an ongoing problem, but the major question is whether he can make next week," he told Sky Sports News.

Ba has scored seven goals in his last nine games.
