Luis Alberto says that he can play in both midfield and attack for Liverpool.

New Liverpool signing Luis Alberto has insisted that he is comfortable playing in both midfield and attack if he is called on by manager Brendan Rodgers.

The 20-year-old is one of four new additions to the squad so far this summer, Iago Aspas, Kolo Toure and Simon Mignolet being the others.

"I can play in any number of positions from midfield all the way to up front," the Liverpool Echo quotes Alberto as saying.

"I don't feel out of place anywhere and I'm comfortable out wide. On either right or left wing, through the middle, as a 'false nine'. I can play in every position."

Alberto has been included in Liverpool's pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia, along with striker Luis Suarez, who is believed to be seeking a move away from Anfield.
