Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge's return to action has reportedly been put on hold after he suffered a setback during a training session.
The 25-year-old has been out since August due to calf and thigh injuries, which he sustained in training sessions with the Reds and while on international duty with England.
Sturridge was on course to make his comeback against Crystal Palace on Sunday, but pulled out his side's session on Tuesday with a thigh strain and is now a doubt for the match against the Eagles, reports The Times.
The striker will undergo a scan on his thigh to determine the damage in the next 24 hours, and also to see if he requires further recovery time on the sidelines.
Sturridge has played just three times for Brendan Rodgers's side this season, scoring one goal.
