Liverpool have received another injury blow after Diogo Jota was stretchered off during the 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester City.
Mohamed Salah's 76th-minute strike helped Liverpool claim all three points in their home meeting with Manchester City, but they received a setback when Jota picked up an injury in stoppage time.
Jota appeared to land awkwardly when he attempted to play a ball through to Darwin Nunez, and as a result, he was stretchered off and replaced by Kostas Tsimikas.
The 25-year-old looks set to join a lengthy injury list, which currently includes Luis Diaz, Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Arthur Melo and Ibrahima Konate.
Liverpool will now wait for the extent of Jota's injury to be established, as will the Portugal national team, who will be hoping to have the attacker available for the World Cup which starts next month.
Liverpool will next be in action on Wednesday when they face West Ham United at Anfield.
