Former Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent returns to Rangers' starting lineup for their Champions League clash against the Reds at Ibrox this evening.

Former Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent has returned to Rangers' starting lineup for their Champions League clash against the Reds at Ibrox this evening.

The 25-year-old's inclusion at the expense of Rabbi Matondo is the only change made by Giovanni van Bronckhorst to the side that beat St Mirren 4-0 in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Rangers set up with a five-man defence in last week's 2-0 defeat against the Reds, but Van Bronckhorst has reverted to a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Ben Davies and Borna Barisic.

James Sands missed the trip to Anfield through suspension but the American will begin this evening's contest as a substitute, while teenager defender Leon King is also named on the bench after starting against Liverpool last week.

Scott Arfield, Ryan Jack and former Everton youngster John Lundstram retain their places in centre-midfield, while Antonio Colak is preferred to lead the line ahead of Alfredo Morelos, with Kent and Fashion Sakala providing support in attack.

As for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah and Thiago Alcantara have both been dropped to the substitutes' bench as Klopp makes a total of six changes to the side that lost 3-2 against Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend.

Rangers, who are yet to pick up a single point after three games in Group A, will miss out on a place in the knockout stages if they lose to Liverpool this evening.

Rangers starting lineup: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic; Jack, Lundstram, Arfield; Fashion, Colak, Kent

Subs: McLaughlin, McCrorie, Ridvan, King, Sands, Devine, Davis, Tillman, Morelos, Matondo, Wright

Liverpool starting lineup: Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Elliott, Fabinho, Henderson; Carvalho, Firmino, Nunez

Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Bajcetic, Phillips, Robertson, Thiago, Milner, Salah, Jota
